After someone over on this side of the Atlantic got a little impatient, and put it online a few days ahead of schedule, Paramount officially released the new Star Trek trailer on Friday morning (when they were originally planning to do so on Monday morning). It was a nice thing to wake up to - although it did almost make me late for work as a result of the magnificence.
Yes, I thought it was spectacular. Giving us action, characterisation, emotion and jaw-dropping visuals, it blew the first trailer out of the sky. And it gave us our first looks at a number of things, including [highlight to read] George Kirk, the Enterprise in full, and James T. taking his place at the conn. I had to go back and watch it through a few times just to process everything. And the music was just right, Two Steps from Hell once again delivering a spine-tingling piece.

Tell me this didn't give you goosebumps...
The angles on some of these shots are like nothing I've seen in Trek before - and that pleases me.
The whole thing has a "blockbuster" feel to it...

Damn, I was so hoping that awesome music was by Michael Giacchino and would be in the movie! Hopefully music just as good as that really is in the Star Trek movie.
